More design on a damaged planet?
“We are moving from an egocentric society to an ecocentric one, in which the human being is not the tip of the pyramid, but is part of a complex system of relationships. In that sense, more than talking about projects, we must understand that everything we do has an effect (...) narrative and geo poetics are fundamental in architecture to build new development models, since we need to generate different narratives in territories that already exist. “They have been narrated in multiple ways.” That was part of Cazú Zegers' reflection in "The Night of Ideas", a valuable space for reflection organized by the French Institute of Chile, the La Moneda Cultural Center and the Teatro a Mil Foundation.

"Latin America has something to say to the world, it is a way of doing and thinking with what is at hand, it is a low-tech posture that learns from local processes and their ancestral techniques, which allows us to live almost without leaving a mark on the territory. Living in a LIGHT and PRECARIOUS way, which is an artistic posture from Latin America to the world. Chile has every opportunity to be a leading country in the development of the 21st century. As a clean, pure and sustainable country, biosphere reserve. We have all these attributes if we are able to balance extractive development and the industrial revolution and invent these new development models that have to do with sustainable tourism."
