Casa Do

The architectural order is based on the desire to generate a matrix, a womb of protection against the vastness of the sea, which allows the act of contemplation from a temperate interior.

The architectural will is that of subtraction, so it was decided to design and build a concrete circle in the manner of a well. The architectural gesture is a circle, crossed by a straight line, which translates into access to the house and the division of public and private space. The complexity of the spatial resolution lies in the intersection of two orders: the surrounding circular versus the regularity orthogonal. Where the circle dialogues with the external environment in a synthetic way, so as not to make a new construction typology appear, but rather the icon of a pool of water.
